The Cottage
Cottage DetailsDolphin View Cottage in Ardersier is a dog-friendly all-season self-catering holiday cottage in the Highlands of Scotland. It lies in the small coastal village of Ardersier located between Inverness and Nairn on the Moray Coast. The cottage has the most stunning sea views over the Moray Firth towards Chanonry Point from the living room and bedroom windows. The Moray Firth is world famous for the resident population of bottlenose dolphins that are frequently seen between Fort George, Ardersier, and the Black Isle.
We are very dog-friendly and welcome up to three dogs free of charge, the cottage is ideal for dog owners, and you can enjoy walks from the door along the well-surfaced shoreline paths skirting Ardersier Bay and through Ardersier Common. The rear garden is enclosed by a high wooden fence.
Dolphin View Cottage is open all year round and whether you are looking for a cosy staycation for a comfortable home-from-home holiday experience, or an active holiday spent exploring the miles of beaches, lochs and glens, wildlife spotting, or golf, it's great to know that at the end of the day you can go back to the cottage and relax in front of the log-burning stove with a cuppa whilst enjoying the sea views and plan your next outing to enjoy the many delights a vacation in the Scottish Highlands can offer.

Where We Are
The cottage is located in the friendly coastal village of Ardersier which lies between Inverness and Nairn on the Moray Firth - famous for the resident population of bottlenose dolphins.
The picturesque coastal village of Ardersier is only 10 miles from the Highland capital, Inverness, and 7 miles from Nairn, famed for its fabulous beaches and championship golf courses. The area is ideal for wildlife enthusiasts, dolphin spotters, photographers, dog owners and people who just want to chill out in comfort.
Bottlenose dolphins can often be seen from nearby Fort George which is a lovely gentle walk from the cottage along well-maintained and surfaced seashore paths. The dolphins are resident and can be seen all year although the best time to see them is in the summer when they are really active catching the abundant salmon.
